Job Summary

Tom Hesser Dealerships is seeking a skilled Automotive Painter to join our team in Scranton. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for preparing and applying paint to repaired vehicles, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets our customers' expectations.

About the Role

  • Prepare and apply paint to repaired vehicles, using our computerized PPG mixing system to ensure accurate color matching.
  • Mix and apply primers, sealers, color, and clear coats to achieve a flawless finish.
  • Inspect painted vehicles before final inspection by our Body Shop Manager, ensuring that all work meets our high standards.
  • Communicate effectively with our Body Shop Manager to ensure that repairs are completed on time and to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Document all materials used and maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to our company's safety procedures and protocols.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in automotive painting, with a strong understanding of paint application techniques and color theory.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a completion of a vocational program in automotive painting or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A clean and valid driver's license, with the ability to operate a vehicle safely and efficiently.
