Job Description

United Schools Network is seeking a highly skilled Chief Advancement Officer to lead its philanthropic efforts and drive strategic growth. As a key member of the leadership team, the CAO will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, building strong relationships with donors, and overseeing the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to meet annual goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and foundation supporters.
  • Oversee the development team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful fundraising efforts.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement organizational strategies that align with the CAO's fundraising goals.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in fundraising and philanthropy.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in philanthropic work, with a proven track record of success in fundraising and leadership.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
