We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Pharmacy Customer Service Associate to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, processing prescriptions, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process prescriptions, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
- Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information.
- Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records.
- Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader.
- Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly.
- Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.
- Process (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise.
- Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures.
- Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine.
- Assume web pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring orders, filling orders, and delivering orders to customers.
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
- Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately.
- Prefer good computer skills.
- Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
- Prefer PTCB certification.
