Job Summary

Vision Technologies Inc is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Field Engineer to join our team. As an AV Field Engineer, you will be responsible for the successful configuration, deployment, and commissioning of AV systems. This role requires advanced troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of audio-visual system operation and design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Review: Collaborate with the design team to ensure systems will work as designed, attend design and scope review meetings, and coordinate with project teammates on quality assurance documentation.
  • In-House Quality Assurance: Plan, organize, and set up a full system mock-up, test full system functionality, and document redlines and quality assurance paperwork.
  • Field Commissioning: Perform site inspection for installation quality, run through system operation and troubleshoot issues, and work with project foreman to address any installation issues during commissioning.
  • System Walkthrough and Acceptance: Complete commissioning checklist paperwork, walk through systems with end users and/or consultants, and document and address punch list items.
  • Training and Closeout: Perform on-site end user training for all systems, provide technical training for end user technical teams, and review all close-out documentation including as-built drawings and user guides.
Requirements
  • Experience & Education: 5+ years of AV installation, commissioning, and service experience, HS degree required, technical school certification or community college preferred.
  • Supplemental Requirements: Superior problem-solving skills, knowledge in Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, and QSC, experience with AV industry software and platforms, network troubleshooting and deployment experience, organized and proactive, ability to read and understand design drawings, experience in audio tuning, equalization, and DSP programming, unified communications (UC) experience, AVIXA CTS/CTS-I preferred, valid driver's license.
