Park Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Park Operations Coordinator to join our team at Ottawa County, MI. As a key member of our Parks and Recreation department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our park facilities and providing exceptional customer service to our visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all areas of park operations, including reservation facilities and grounds maintenance.
  • Meet with potential renters and show them the facilities.
  • Lock and unlock facilities as needed and manage keys.
  • Participate in setup and cleanup of rental facilities, including moving tables and chairs, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Attend to the needs of renters before, during, and after the rental period.
  • Enforce and perform work in accordance with established standards and rules.
  • Support an equitable, safe, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work or volunteer experience in customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to interact positively and professionally with diverse groups of people.
  • Physical strength, agility, and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and moving equipment.

Working Conditions:

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee may be exposed to electrical hazards, noxious fumes, dust, dirt, and other airborne particulates, inclement weather, cleaning compounds, solvents, detergent, noise, and other hazards.
