About the Role:

DSJ Global is collaborating with a prominent chemical production firm in the health, beauty, and wellness sector, seeking to enhance their team with an Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist. This role involves overseeing EHS objectives and targets at the plant level, supporting internal EHS performance reporting, and ensuring that EHS programs, policies, and procedures are effectively developed, implemented, and maintained to achieve compliance. The specialist will play a crucial role in fostering a robust EHS culture among all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the site's safety culture by inspiring and guiding employees
  • Promote a Zero Incident culture for all personnel
  • Lead initiatives aimed at refining EHS programs to mitigate risks and fulfill sustainability goals
  • Conduct audits, formulate corrective actions, and ensure adherence to EHS protocols
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and ensure implementation of corrective measures
  • Analyze EHS data, manage reporting, and provide technical assistance
  • Support the development, engagement, and monitoring of leading and lagging indicators pertinent to EHS performance

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS within a chemical manufacturing setting
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and 45001 standards
  • Self-driven professional capable of thriving in a dynamic environment
