Key Responsibilities:- Process FHA, VA, Conventional, MPF, and other loan programs, including USDA, Home Equity Line of Credit, 2nd Mortgages, Home Improvement loans, and Down Payment Assistance.
- Review and verify all supporting documentation, including appraisals, flood determinations, tax transcripts, credit reports, social security verifications, payoff statements, income, and title commitments.
- Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with loan originators, underwriters, closers, third-party vendors, and customers regarding loan status updates and requirements.
- Follow up and communicate with customers and loan officers to obtain missing or updated documentation to process the mortgage loan file in a timely manner.
- Enter HMDA and/or CRA information as it pertains to each loan and process adverse action loan applications.
- 3+ years of mortgage banking experience.
- Knowledge of Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae guidelines and a solid understanding of complete residential loan applications and proper loan submission in accordance with compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Federal and State real estate lending guidelines regarding compliance of RESPA, Regulation Z, Regulation B, HMDA, ECOA, FCRA.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple work assignments to meet scheduled loan closing dates and rate lock expirations.
- Ability to work independently, remember and recall a wide variety of information regarding retail mortgage lending requirements.
