Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled mechanic to join our team and contribute to the success of our company. As a Heavy Truck Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks, including basic diagnostics and component replacement. You will also work with experienced supervisors and master technicians to learn new skills and stay up-to-date with industry developments. Key responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining and repairing heavy trucks
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Using Penske's tools and technologies to log and research repairs

Key Responsibilities
In addition to maintaining and repairing heavy trucks, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Working with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
  • Collaborating with other team members to achieve goals and objectives
  • Participating in ongoing training and development programs to stay current with industry developments

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of heavy truck mechanics and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in automotive or diesel repair. Additional requirements include:
  • A valid driver's license
  • The ability to solve problems and work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
