Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Coating Specialist to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing aircraft surfaces, applying finish coatings, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare aircraft surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and treating with anti-corrosion chemicals.
  • Apply finish coatings to aircraft surfaces, including low observable coatings and materials.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and tools to ensure accurate application and quality control.
  • Monitor and verify quality using statistical process control procedures.
  • Input data as required and perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
  • 3 years of relevant experience in composite laminate layup and/or applying primer, low observable, and topcoat materials.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience with surface preparation and coatings/painting and/or anti-corrosion chemical application and treatment.
  • Experience reading Blue-Print/work order specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Desired Skills
  • Previous knowledge or experience using low observable materials.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and work order software such as Solumina.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to Work Remotely

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
