Aircraft Assembly and Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Assembly and Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Butler America Aerospace, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and refurbishing aircraft parts and structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of operations to manufacture, assemble, and refurbish aircraft parts and structures, including F-16 canopies, F-35 canopies, and C-130 sub-assembly components.
  • Assemblies may require controlled tooling and build-to-print specifications.
  • Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures, and perform part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting, countersinking, and cold working.
  • Measure parts to verify dimensions and may modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes and perform repairs.
  • Work from blueprint diagrams, drawings, specifications, and shop orders, and monitor and verify quality, developing corrective action as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Mathematical ability to perform and/or understand calculations used in assigned areas and ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical data.
  • Competently use computers and other systems to access, maintain, and manipulate data.
