Position Overview:
The Accounting Technician will be integral in facilitating the daily functions of the Finance and Accounting Department. Key duties include managing cash deposits, overseeing accounts receivable, assisting with accounts payable processes, and providing financial support to various departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record and process cash deposits from multiple sources
  • Generate monthly billing statements and accounts receivable reports
  • Conduct collection activities for outstanding accounts receivable
  • Oversee accounts receivable aging and execute necessary account adjustments
  • Document all cash transactions and prepare journal entries
  • Assist with accounts payable tasks and manage check disbursements
  • Support general ledger upkeep and monthly financial closing procedures
  • Provide financial assistance to project leaders and operational staff
  • Assist the membership team with processing dues payments
  • Address issues and perform additional tasks as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or a relevant combination of education and experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with financial and accounting software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities

This position is classified as non-exempt and offers flexible work-from-home options.
