About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our team at Jobot. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our construction projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze contractor bids to ensure all costs and specifications are included and accurate.
  • Create comprehensive estimates and cost plans for various mechanical construction projects.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments to forecast potential project problems and costs.
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, and other construction professionals to ensure estimates are comprehensive and include all necessary job components.
  • Stay up-to-date with local rates in estimates to ensure our bids are competitive and accurate.
  • Use industry knowledge to influence design decisions and achieve the best value for money.
  • Provide support to the project management team throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction processes.
  • Proven experience in analyzing contractor bids and creating accurate estimates and cost plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of local rates in estimates.
  • Excellent numerical skills and analytical mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with various professionals.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as estimating software and MS Office.
