About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ADAS Drive Calibration Engineer to join our team at General Motors. As a key member of our Software Defined Vehicle Automated Driving and Active Safety Design, Requirements, Integration, Validation Execution (SDV-ADAS DRIVE) Object Avoidance – Rear/Lateral team, you will be responsible for the development, integration, calibration, and validation of ADAS Object Avoidance – Rear/Lateral features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop optimal calibration values for assigned features and ensure goals are met at key points in the development process.
  • Lead the development and issue resolution for parking feature performance.
  • Build, maintain, and execute calibration development plans for assigned features.
  • Participate in feature, calibration, simulation, and algorithm workgroups to establish/improve features and requirements to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Travel as necessary for development trips and performance buy-off rides.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience with data analysis and the associated tools.
  • Ability to root cause complex problems.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others, and ability to establish peer relationships.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and ability to operate test vehicles.
  • Experience with simulation, HIL, and mathematical modeling.
  • Experience with radar simulation and Python.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with vehicle or component development, integration, and diagnostics.
  • Understanding of the use of vehicle instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience with radars, lidar, camera, or similar sensor systems.
  • Simulink & MATLAB tool/script development proficiency.
