Job Title: Commercial Insurance Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Insurance Operations Supervisor to join our team at Ace American Insurance. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Underwriting Associates and ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial insurance underwriting process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the performance of the Underwriting Associates team to meet or exceed performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement training and development plans to enhance the skills and competencies of the team.
  • Collaborate with CI Underwriting leadership to ensure mutual priorities are achieved and quality goals are met.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports to improve performance and address performance issues promptly.
  • Maintain an open and collaborative engagement with staff to encourage diversity of thought and promote a positive work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to standardized UAA Role/Responsibilities and corporate workflows.
  • Manage performance reviews, goal setting, and compensation administration for the team.
  • Create and execute plans to retain high-potential employees.
Requirements:
  • Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated results orientation, with the ability to problem-solve and provide solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make confident decisions.
  • Ability to learn quickly, prioritize work, and perform within time constraints.
  • Ability to work independently within a team/group environment, with the ability to collaborate with others and influence peers to drive operational priorities.
  • Ability to manage remote staff.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead and influence the team to meet business priorities.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent, 4-year degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years relevant insurance/supervisory experience.
