Job Summary

The Department of Labor & Industry is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join the PA CareerLink team in Bucks County as a Career Advisor Trainee. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in providing customer-centered services and enhancing workforce development activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance knowledge of workforce development programs, services, policies, regulations, legislation, and procedures.
  • Provide group and individual intake services to job seekers and employers, and assist in the development and facilitation of workshops, presentations, and orientations to services.
  • Gain proficiency in coordinating and providing services using a case management approach, assisting the job seeker to develop employment goals, and creating and modifying an Individual Employment Plan (IEP).
  • Develop specialized skills to provide services to employers, including making contacts, analyzing workforce needs, and proposing hiring strategies to address workforce issues.
Requirements
  • Four years of public contact work that involved interviewing the public to obtain, provide, and evaluate information concerning employment or employability, or a bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
