Job Title: Ultrasound Imaging Specialist

At Rego Park Imaging, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Imaging Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Imaging Specialist to perform a variety of imaging exams, including General, Breast, and Vascular scans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ultrasound technology and be able to operate complex equipment with ease. In addition to performing exams, the successful candidate will also assist radiologists during biopsy procedures and maintain accurate records of patient information.

About the Role:
This role involves working closely with patients to prepare them for exams, positioning them correctly, and explaining procedures in a clear and concise manner. You will also be responsible for obtaining relevant medical information, setting up equipment, and operating it to ensure accurate results. Your technical knowledge will enable you to recognize significant structures and differentiate between artifacts and normal or pathologic processes.

Responsibilities:
* Prepare patients for ultrasound exams and position them on examination tables according to departmental standards.
* Obtain pertinent imaging and diagnostic reports required for correlation with ultrasound exams.
* Set up equipment to administer particular exams in a timely fashion and use settings on machines to assure accurate results.
* Recognize significance of structures visualized in oscilloscope and differentiate between artifacts and normal or pathologic processes.
* Maintain accurate records of patient information and logs exams performed.

Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Graduate of an approved program in ultrasound and demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, physics, or diagnostic ultrasound.
* Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification required.
