Medical Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Great Lakes Medical Imaging. As a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Salary Range: $26-$38 per hour
About the Job:
- This is a full-time position that requires working day shifts.
- You will be responsible for performing CT procedures, CR and DR x-ray procedures, and Interventional Radiology procedures under CT guidance.
- You will also be required to communicate with patients regarding medical history, symptoms, and explanation of procedures.
- Entering data in the Radiology Information System and verifying accuracy of orders prior to examining the patient are also key responsibilities.
- You must maintain a clean and orderly work area, provide quality control processes when necessary, and ensure the safety of patients in the department.
- Attending to the medical needs of patients at all times and maintaining patient modesty are also essential duties.
Necessary Skills:
- Experience in radiology and medical terminology is required.
- Operate standard office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, scanners, etc.
Qualifications:
- Associates in Applied Science, Radiologic Technology from an ARRT-approved program.
- New York State Radiologic Technology License or valid temporary license.
- Valid BLS Certification.
- ARRT Certification when eligible.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- The ability to pull, push, and lift patients and equipment is essential.
- Standing, walking, sitting, keyboard use for long periods of time are common requirements.
- Able to listen and communicate with patients face-to-face or over the phone.
- Must be able to read, write, and work in a fast-paced office setting.
- Able to make decisions and think quickly.
