Pharmacy Technician I, Oncology Infusion Center, 40hr, Day

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Oncology Infusion Center team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and delivery of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and release orders using pharmacy dispense queue.
- Set up oncology orders by gathering necessary medications, diluents, and equipment.
- Deliver patient medications to patient rooms and medication areas.
- Maintain inventory, reorder, restock, and monitor expiration dates of medications.
- Familiarize yourself with pharmacy technology and equipment, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Prepare and package medications, and maintain required documentation.
- Generate pharmacy reports, and conduct medication room inspections.
- Assemble medications accurately and efficiently, and repackage bulk drugs and supplies.
- Maintain a clean work area, and assist with quality indicator monitoring.
- Participate in identifying problems or areas for improvement, and assist with problem-solving projects.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities and teams.
- Prepare intravenous (IV) drugs using aseptic technique.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current license with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
- Certified by a national governing body, such as the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
- 3 years of previous experience.
- Proficiency in math, and knowledge of computer systems.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately, efficiently, and dependably.
- Positive work ethic, motivated, and professional demeanor to promote teamwork.
