Role Summary: We are in search of a proactive and skilled BIM Manager to become an integral part of our Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in researching and formulating industry best practices that will shape our corporate VDC policies and strategies. This role also involves the development and management of VDC metrics across corporate divisions and projects to assess the effectiveness of our VDC initiatives.

Key Duties:

Research and Development:

  • Perform comprehensive research on leading practices in BIM and VDC.
  • Engage with industry experts and participate in relevant conferences and workshops to remain informed about the latest advancements and technologies.
  • Create and document best practices to refine corporate VDC policies and strategies.

Policy and Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of VDC to incorporate industry best practices into corporate guidelines.
  • Offer insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding VDC strategies.
  • Ensure alignment of VDC policies with overarching corporate objectives.

Metrics Development and Oversight:

  • Establish comprehensive VDC metrics to assess the success of various initiatives.
  • Work with different departments to collect data and guarantee precise reporting.
  • Analyze metrics to pinpoint areas for enhancement and highlight success stories.
  • Present findings to stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations for ongoing improvement.

Project Assistance:

  • Deliver BIM support and guidance to project teams.
  • Ensure adherence to BIM standards and protocols across all projects.
  • Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and address any BIM-related challenges.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and the BIM team during weekly project meetings.

Training and Development:

  • Design and implement training programs for staff on BIM and VDC best practices.
  • Guide junior team members and promote a collaborative learning atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in BIM management, VDC, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong grasp of VDC processes and workflows.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing BIM and VDC strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as CM-BIM, PMP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with large-scale construction projects.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in the construction sector (e.g., AI, AR/VR, IoT).
