Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will engage in a variety of planning projects, including but not limited to:

  • Active transportation strategies
  • Corridor analysis
  • Safety enhancement plans
  • Mobility hub evaluations
  • Trail development studies

Responsibilities will include producing GIS-based mapping and analysis, technical documentation, research, and public engagement materials. The role may also involve acting as an Assistant Project Manager, supporting project leads with tasks such as invoicing, scheduling, budgeting, and managing subcontractors.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a combination of skills, experience, and education, including:

  • A minimum of four years of experience in a consulting or public sector environment
  • A Bachelor's degree in Planning or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in GIS and quantitative analysis
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with software tools such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and ArcGIS
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Experience guiding teams and managing expectations

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • A Master's degree in Urban Planning or a related field
  • Expertise in New Mobility concepts
  • Experience with large-scale project management
  • Active involvement in professional associations
  • AICP Certification
