Nurse Specialist in Hematology

About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate nurse with a strong background in caring for patients with hematological conditions such as leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. As a Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with hematological conditions, utilizing your expertise and knowledge to deliver individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, ensuring they understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and care plan.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including progress notes and medication administration.
- Participate in educational programs and workshops to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in hematology and oncology.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 12 months of recent experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a hematology or oncology unit.
- Valid, active unencumbered RN license in the state of Georgia.
- BLS certification required; ACLS may be required depending on department needs.
