Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Engineer to join our team at KLA. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service support to our customers, encompassing system commissioning, breakdown repairs, and preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective service support to customers, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Generate a close working relationship with customers to enable the company to sell its product portfolio.
  • Provision of feedback to enable the proactive identification of product and business process improvements.
  • Timely completion of all field reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics or Engineering (or equivalent work experience).
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose RF, Pneumatic, Vacuum, Electronic (AC and DC), PLC, DeviceNet, and Computer issues to the component level.
  • Working knowledge of MS DOS, Windows software, and MS Office products.
  • Excellent communication and customer interfacing skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • An adaptable approach to working hours, locations, and conditions.
  • A flexible approach to work responsibilities, enabling both independent and team working.
  • Ability to work alone or unsupervised for extended periods, often in difficult conditions.
  • A systematic and logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Must be able to travel > 50% of the time to support the customer base as required.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work in a product wafer fab clean room environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead occasionally and frequently.
  • Must be able to bend from the waist and lift items overhead safely.
  • Must be able to work on hands and knees or on their back while servicing equipment.
  • Must be able to bend and twist to gain access to service the equipment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics, signs, placards, and manuals.
  • Must be able to view the full color spectrum.
  • Must be able to work standing at the system in up to 2-hour intervals.
  • Must be able to perform a system chamber clean, which requires removing all chamber components, scrubbing the chamber walls, and reassembling the cleaned chamber parts.
