Law Enforcement Specialist

This position is a key member of the Public Safety and Law Enforcement Staff, responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating administrative operations and equipment utilized by the team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Public Safety and Law Enforcement operations, including the repair, procurement, maintenance, tracking, inventorying, and issuing of equipment managed by the team.
About the TeamThe Public Safety and Law Enforcement Staff is a dynamic team that works to preserve the natural and cultural resources of the Commonwealth. The team is responsible for protecting the lives and property of citizens and their guests while protecting the Commonwealth's irreplaceable natural and cultural resources. The team's mission is to preserve the past and protect the future.
About the OpportunityThis position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing administrative support to the Public Safety and Law Enforcement operations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team, utilizing their skills and experience to make a positive impact on the Commonwealth.
Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and coordinate administrative operations and equipment utilized by the Public Safety and Law Enforcement Staff.
- Provide administrative support to the Public Safety and Law Enforcement operations, including the repair, procurement, maintenance, tracking, inventorying, and issuing of equipment managed by the team.
- Work closely with the Deputy Chief of Public Safety and Law Enforcement to ensure the effective operation of the Public Safety and Law Enforcement Staff.
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure the efficient use of resources and equipment.
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to achieve the mission of the Public Safety and Law Enforcement Staff.
- Ability to organize and conduct an ongoing inventory or experience in recordkeeping.
- Experience providing highest standard of customer service to the public and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.
- Attention to detail in order to memorize and recall information.
- Required to operate a computer including Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with law enforcement equipment including communications equipment, uniforms, and related law enforcement gear.
- Familiarity with procurement.
- Current DCJS certified law enforcement officer.
- Sworn Law Enforcement Officer.
