Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Law Enforcement Specialist - Administrative Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating administrative operations and equipment utilized by the Public Safety & Law Enforcement Staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the repair, procurement, maintenance, tracking, inventorying, and issuing of equipment managed by the Public Safety and Law Enforcement Staff.
  • Provide administrative support to the Public Safety & Law Enforcement operations, including coordinating with law enforcement personnel and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement procedures for the management of equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to equipment management.
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.

Requirements

  • Ability to organize and conduct an ongoing inventory or experience in recordkeeping.
  • Experience providing highest standard of customer service to the public and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Attention to detail in order to memorize and recall information.
  • Required to operate a computer including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with law enforcement equipment, including communications equipment, uniforms, and related law enforcement gear.
  • Familiarity with procurement procedures.
  • Current DCJS certified law enforcement officer.
  • Sworn Law Enforcement Officer.

Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to perform manual labor throughout the workday, the ability to stand, bend, and lift to 20lbs from the ground to waist level.
