**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Associate to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist the Ophthalmologist/Optician and other technical support personnel to perform diagnostic tests necessary for patient evaluation. This includes performing preliminary screening examinations, obtaining medical and personal data, and assisting with minor office surgery and laser treatments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with diagnostic tests, including central and peripheral visual field tests, pharmacological pupil tests, and tonometry, tonography, and tensilon tonography tests.
  • Obtain medical and personal data for patient charts.
  • Clean and stock consultation rooms and microbiology laboratory as needed.
  • Assist with minor office surgery and laser treatments.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a high school diploma/GED and appropriate technical training in the field. Additionally, you should have 0-1 year of experience as an Ophthalmic Tech/Medical Office Assistant or equivalent.
