Ophthalmic Care Professional

Ophthalmology Associates of Staten Island, PC is a leading provider of eye care services. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team in delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be instrumental in performing diagnostic tests, assisting with eye examinations, and providing exceptional patient services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough eye exams and collect patient medical histories
- Support ophthalmologists with diagnostic procedures and equipment operation
- Provide accurate patient education on eye care, treatment options, and post-procedural instructions
- Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of test results and treatments
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; certification as an Ophthalmic Technician is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an ophthalmology or optometry setting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding patient care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills
$65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience
