Software Contracts Specialist

At RTX, we are seeking a highly skilled Software Contracts Specialist to join our team in the Enterprise Space and Mission Systems (ESMS) mission area within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU).

This position will support the day-to-day contract execution for a high visibility program with a focus on delivering and sustaining complex software-based systems to support our Space Community and the Department of Defense (DoD) customers.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Manager, Contracts within the ESMS Product Area and will need to collaborate closely with various Program Managers and other Cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Influence others through the explanation of facts, policies, and practices
  • Provide advice/guidance on contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes
  • Occasional travel to other domestic RTX sites and customer locations
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
  • S. government issued security clearance is required. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Requirements:

  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically disperse internal and external partners
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
