Principal Specialist, Contracts

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our Contracts team, you will support the day-to-day contract execution for a high visibility program with a focus on delivering and sustaining complex software-based systems to support our Space Community and the Department of Defense (DoD) customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface with customers for correspondence, contractual changes, and contractual issues
- Influence others through the explanation of facts, policies, and practices
- Investigate and resolve contractual matters by critically thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking innovative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders
- Provide advice/guidance on contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes
- Occasional travel to other domestic Raytheon sites and customer locations
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience in the administration, negotiations, and/or management of contracts, procurement, supply chain, U.S. Government DoD, Federal and/or State or Municipal contracts administrated and/or support functions
