About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transactions Attorney to join our team at Rudman & Winchell LLC. As a member of our Commercial Real Estate and Corporate departments, you will specialize in legal matters involving business and commercial transactions.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert guidance to our clients on real estate transactions, entity formations, mergers and acquisitions, bank lending, contract drafting and negotiation. You will also collaborate with peers in other practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist commercial clients with real estate transactions, entity formations, mergers and acquisitions, bank lending, and contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a full range of legal services to our clients.
  • Fulfill ethical requirements as set forth by the state's Rules of Professional Conduct and maintain confidentiality in client matters.
  • Monitor account receivables and participate in marketing efforts.
  • Analyze newly assigned work and existing matters to provide expert legal representation until completion.
  • Ensure accuracy in all correspondence and documents related to legal representation.
  • Perform necessary legal research using available resources.
  • Formulate and issue well-rounded legal opinions to clients.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Maine and membership in the state bar.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities for anticipating challenges and providing valuable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
