Job Summary

The Admissions and Outreach Coordinator will support the Physical Therapy Program Director and DPT Admissions Committee with administrative functions and coordination of programmatic elements such as admissions, community outreach, and day-to-day program tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support the admissions process using the PT Centralized Application System (PTCAS)
  • Plan and assist in the delivery of virtual and/or in-person DPT Program information sessions and tours for prospective and newly accepted students
  • Gather and update data related to the admissions process
  • Support the recruitment and application process for students
  • Participate as the DPT program representative in college and graduate school recruitment events
  • Work closely with LMU Administration, including Admissions, Marketing and Public Relations, Registrar, Financial Aid, and Academic Affairs
  • Provide support in the strategic planning process and contribute to the development of new programmatic strategic initiatives related to admissions and outreach
  • Assist with undergraduate DPT Admissions Pathways through the College of Mathematics, Sciences, and Health Professions
  • Identify and develop community relationships to build LMU DPT program recognition
  • Coordinate and/or deliver presentations about the program to area high school students
  • Work closely with student service liaisons and student government within DPT program and in other programs/colleges to plan outreach activities and events
  • Promote the mission of the Program and University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large
  • Coordinate bi-annual Advisory Board meetings for community stakeholders
  • Assist with the development of a student physical therapy association group and interact as needed with students
  • Capture photos and highlight the program via social media platforms
  • Oversee community service projects created by Student Government Association members
  • Manage special projects as directed by the Program Director
  • Support special student and faculty events such as New Student Orientation, White Coat Ceremony, graduation, etc.
  • Manage and assist in the completion of required institutional and program accreditation reports
