HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN

As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for the operation, upkeep, and repair of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within residential settings. This role involves traveling to client locations to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions for their HVAC needs. You will collaborate closely with our team to ensure clear communication with customers and uphold our commitment to service excellence.

Key Requirements:
  • A clean driving record for the past three years is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
  • Primary duties include cleaning and maintaining HVAC units, with opportunities for professional growth.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems.
  • Travel to service locations and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate any delays to customers.
  • Be available for night and weekend shifts on a rotating basis to address emergency service requests.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is in good working condition, including regular refueling and reporting mechanical issues.
  • Exhibit strong customer service skills, effectively interacting with homeowners, processing payments, and conveying information clearly.
  • Educate clients on potential opportunities for additional services, including newer systems and service contracts.
  • Meet all physical ability requirements outlined in this description.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by team leaders.
  • Engage in company-sponsored training to stay updated on the latest industry technologies.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving history for the past three years.
  • Pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Effectively communicate using speech, vision, and hearing.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing 75 pounds or more regularly, and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in confined or elevated spaces such as attics and on ladders.
  • Ability to carry heavy items up and down stairs.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, rain, snow, or sleet.
  • Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with a technical vocabulary to follow directions and adhere to procedures.
  • Adaptability in handling workplace stressors, including customer service challenges.
  • Completion of a Job Physical Assessment is required.
