Job Title: Government Contracts Specialist

Join our team as a Government Contracts Specialist at General Dynamics, where you will play a critical role in the success of our business.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Government Contracts Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Government Contracts team, you will be responsible for managing proposal development, terms and conditions review, and risk assessment/mitigation. You will also independently administer and monitor various types of contracts, facilitate pre-award and post-award activities, and receive, coordinate, and respond to internal and external requests for data pertaining to contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage proposal development, terms and conditions review, and risk assessment/mitigation.
  2. Independently administer and monitor various types of contracts, including time and material (T&M), firm fixed price (FFP), and indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ).
  3. Facilitate pre-award and post-award activities in support of projects.
  4. Receive, coordinate, and respond to internal and external requests for data pertaining to contracts.
  5. Administer the terms of the contract and coordinate with internal departments as required for compliance.
  6. Manage routine reporting requirements as required in the contract, such as CFSR, FFATA, and VAT.
  7. Lead contract closeout activities.
Requirements:
  1. Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  2. Familiarity with WAWF.
  3. Experience in identifying and mitigating business risk in the terms of the contract.
  4. Ability to understand and write contract phraseology.
  5. Ability to work independently with confidence.
  6. Exceptional planning, strategizing, managing, monitoring, scheduling, and analytical skills.
  7. Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks and many details.
  8. Solid interpersonal skills in a fast-paced deadline-oriented and changing environment.
  9. Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
  10. Experience in all Microsoft programs, Sharepoint, and Power BI a plus.
  11. Solid business analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
