Job Summary:

The Recovery Specialist Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting the administration and daily operation of the Co-Occurring Enhanced program. This position is responsible for supervising Recovery Specialists in the development of co-occurring treatment skills and ensuring fidelity to evidence-based practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substance use disorder and behavioral health treatment settings, with a minimum of five years of experience and two years of supervisory experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a cohort of recovery specialists to ensure the delivery of evidence-based services rooted in harm reduction and a trauma-responsive approach.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support resident admission, transfer, discharge, and ongoing observation and care.
  • Ensure the safety of all residents by proactively addressing escalating behaviors and physical plant issues.
  • Schedule, supervise, and coach recovery specialists to ensure required staffing ratios, role competence, and consistent application of safety procedures.
  • Oversee the medication administration system and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local licensing and contractual requirements.
  • Facilitate and promote resident participation in wellness and recreational activities, as well as assisting in the facilitation of educational and recreational groups under the guidance of case managers and the clinical director.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience in substance use disorder and/or behavioral health treatment settings.
  • Two years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Demonstrated leadership, delegation, communication, and team building skills.
  • Demonstrated professional writing, interpersonal, and organization skills.
  • Basic proficiency in word processing and other computer functions using Windows, Word, and Google Email and Apps.
