Position Overview:

- Location: Veterans Memorial Rink - Somerville, MA
- Employment Type: Part-Time
Role Summary:
The Ice Facility Maintenance Specialist is essential in ensuring that FMC facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality for all guests. Key responsibilities encompass routine upkeep, cleaning tasks, and operating the ice resurfacing machinery. This position reports directly to the Arena Manager or Facility Supervisor and may require working autonomously or collaboratively to facilitate various facility operations. The work schedule includes evenings, weekends, and select holidays to accommodate our patrons' needs.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum age of 21 with a valid Driver's License
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication capabilities
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the facility is secure and well-maintained
- Prepare and maintain the ice surface for optimal conditions
- Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of facilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently
Compensation: Starting pay at $18/hour, commensurate with experience and skill level.
