Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Concierge Medicine program in West Palm Beach. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of nursing care and practice of professional nursing for non-hospitalized patients in our ambulatory setting.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery of nursing care and practice of professional nursing for non-hospitalized patients in our ambulatory setting.
- Collaborate with liaison departments to maintain patient care standards and utilize evidence-based practice.
- Participate in clinical nursing research and support Cleveland Clinic research activities.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of care.
- Manage the operation of the unit by analyzing personnel structure, determining staffing needs, monitoring productivity, and providing direction.
- Provide supervision, evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination processes.
- Develop strategic plans in alignment with enterprise initiatives and ensure clinical teams work at the top of licensure/responsibility.
- Develop and maintain unit-related patient care standards through continuous quality improvement and develop quality and safety initiatives to provide the highest level of care.
- Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, evidence-based delivery of health services.
- Attain and maintain JC and other regulatory standards, foster patient and employee satisfaction, and promote shared decision-making with input from staff.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of the budget, approve purchases, establish and revise inventory quotes, and direct unit participation in the evaluation of new products.
- BSN required, MSN preferred.
- High degree of clinical expertise in specialty area managed.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Nursing certification in specialty area preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification required.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Ability to function in a variety of medical situations.
- Professional behavior/appearance required, ability to focus on patient safety, teamwork, patient outcomes, patient experience, and quality improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Three years experience as a clinical nurse; demonstrated skills in leadership, management, communication, counseling, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution, and group process.
- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
- May require some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
- Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
