We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team at Fortis Fire & Safety. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for optimizing our financial processes and driving strategic value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage the full-cycle invoice-to-cash function, including cash application, invoicing, collections, and credit.
  • Lead and manage a geographically dispersed team of staff.
  • Partner with Accounting and Branch Operations to ensure proper cash management.
  • Automate processes and develop best practices to improve efficiency.
  • Utilize and optimize the capabilities of the ERP system (ACT/Q360) for efficient accounts receivable and cash collection processes.
  • Prepare and review accounts receivable aging reports weekly and other financial reports as needed.
  • Support measurement of departmental performance through data, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Improve key metrics such as DSO and % of Aged AR.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify opportunities for skill development.
  • Lead departmental projects and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of progressive accounts receivable, collections, cash application, and/or credit experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • High attention to details and accuracy.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience managing a team of 10+ staff members.
  • Prior experience managing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience with POC/WIP accounting.
Compensation:

$85,000-115,000

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the Team member is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The Team member is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs, or balance. The Team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
