We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist Lead to join our team at Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical laboratory science and excellent leadership skills.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to lead a team of medical technologists and ensure high-quality patient care. The Medical Technologist Lead will be responsible for performing routine, complex or specialized bacteriological, hematological, chemical, immunological, serological and immunoassay procedures on body fluids.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform testing and analysis on blood and other bodily fluids to aid in diagnosis and treatment of patients
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to provide accurate results and ensure continuity of patient care
  • Develop and implement quality control and proficiency testing programs to maintain high standards of laboratory performance
  • Lead and supervise a team of medical technologists to achieve excellence in patient care and laboratory operations
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science (MT/CLS) from an accredited institution
  • MT (ASCP) certification
  • 2 years of clinical laboratory experience
