Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at MidCoast Medical Center-Bellville. As a key member of our clinical laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient analysis of specimens to support quality patient care services.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Director, perform procedures in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology/Serology, Urinalysis, and Limited Microbiology.
  • Ensure accurate and timely analysis of specimens to support quality patient care services.
  • Maintain and perform quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory professionals to ensure seamless workflow and efficient specimen processing.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited college.
  • MLT certification.
  • Preferred: ASCP or equivalent registered, experience preferred.

Work Schedule:

Mid-Shift and Night-Shift available. 7 on, 7 off, must be able to work alone, phlebotomy is a must. The position will also be responsible for maintenance and quality control.
