About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tire Sales Specialist to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a Tire Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting members in the selection and purchase of tires, properly installing and repairing tires, and maintaining tire bay policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist members in the selection and purchase of tires, including verifying the sizes for vehicles.
  • Properly install and repair tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
  • Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area, merchandising tire displays and automotive products.
  • Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk, coordinating with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
  • Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory, understanding and appropriately utilizing available special-order tire programs.
  • Comply with safety and cleanliness standards, properly utilizing tire bay equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills required.
  • Prior tire installation experience preferred.
  • Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
  • Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.
Work Environment

The Tire Sales Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, surrounded by moving cars, machinery, and/or loud equipment. The position requires frequent standing, moving, and lifting, as well as occasional exposure to company-approved chemicals and cleaning agents.

Compensation

The starting salary for this position is $17.50 per hour. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
