Position Overview:
The Event Planning Coordinator plays a crucial role in the orchestration, implementation, and assessment of various special events. This role involves fostering relationships with sponsors and serving as the primary liaison with event venues and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Grasp the specific needs for each event.
- Organize event logistics while considering budgetary and time limitations.
- Secure venues and arrange for speakers as necessary.
- Conduct vendor research (catering, decorators, musicians, etc.).
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure optimal terms.
- Oversee event setup, decor, and the cleanup process.
- Monitor event logistics including attendance, budget, and timelines.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: At least 2 years in a relevant role, with a preference for experience in personal event coordination.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS365 Power Platform.

Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of a criminal history check and tuberculosis (TB) test.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- A safe driving record is essential for those using personal vehicles for work-related tasks.
- Compliance with health certification requirements, including CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens within the first month of employment.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.
