Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neuro-Oncology Specialist to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Clinical Neuro-Oncology Faculty member, you will be responsible for providing patient care, teaching medical students and neurology residents, and participating in clinical research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical: Provide comprehensive care to Neuro-oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Teaching: Teach medical students and housestaff, participate in formal conferences, and lecture on Neuro-oncology topics.
  • Research: Participate in and lead clinical research and clinical trials in the Division of Neuro-oncology.
  • Service: Serve on departmental, School of Medicine, and University committees, as well as in a professional capacity in their field.
Requirements
  • MD or MD/PhD degree (or equivalent)
  • Successful completion of a neurology residency and neuro-oncology fellowship at accredited institutions
  • Eligibility for licensure in Virginia and board certification or eligible in Neurology (ABPN) and Neuro-Oncology (UCNS)
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
