Project Engineer Role

We are seeking skilled professionals to fill the position of Project Engineer at Catalyx. As a key member of our industrial automation services & solutions teams, you will play a crucial role in supporting project execution via the planning, guiding, and management of engineering projects dealing with machine vision and barcode inspection systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Support: Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and resource allocation. Support the coordination of engineering teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Monitor project progress and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior project managers.
  • Communication & Coordination: Act as a liaison between team members working in various areas of the project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless project execution. Participate in project meetings and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Support the identification and assessment of potential risks to project timelines and deliverables. Assist in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that all project deliverables meet company standards and client expectations. Participate in project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Site Support: Provide on-site support during key project implementations, including installation, testing, and commissioning of automation systems. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and tools (e.g., Gantt charts, scheduling software, R/O registers, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP) or proficiency in related tools is desired.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
