The Department of Anesthesiology at South Brooklyn Health is seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will play a crucial role in guiding the perioperative process and collaborating with our surgical and nursing teams. Our state-of-the-art facilities and equipment ensure the safest anesthesia practices, and our purpose-driven collaboration fosters a premier surgical center in Brooklyn.
Responsibilities- Collaborate on the ACGME application process for the establishment of an anesthesia residency program.
- Engage in data-based and clinical research, fostering an environment of innovation within the Department of Anesthesiology.
- Share your knowledge and expertise through lectures for our Department of Anesthesiology staff, while also providing valuable educational support to our Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Surgery residents.
- Opportunity is 21 hours per week.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
- Skill in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia is a plus
- New graduates are welcome
- An active NYS License is required
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $234,000* (board eligible); $240,000* (board certified) based on 24-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $382,400** (board eligible) and $389,000** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
- Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
- Projected bonus of up to $21,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
- 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
