Pediatric Anesthesiologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. As a member of our Department of Anesthesiology, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality anesthesia care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our surgical and nursing teams to provide exceptional patient care
  • Participate in the ACGME application process for the establishment of an anesthesia residency program
  • Engage in data-based and clinical research to foster an environment of innovation within the Department of Anesthesiology
  • Share your knowledge and expertise through lectures for our Department of Anesthesiology staff and provide educational support to our Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Surgery residents
Qualifications:
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
  • Skill in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia is a plus
  • New graduates are welcome
  • An active NYS License is required
Benefits:
  • Annual Base Salary: $234,000* (board eligible); $240,000* (board certified) based on 24-hour work week
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***
  • Projected bonus of up to $21,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets
