Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Tufts Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic care services to patients, including vital sign collection and preparation of medical records.
- Assist healthcare providers with physical exams, treatments, and procedures as needed.
- Monitor patient flow and communicate delays to patients and providers.
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and families.
- Perform Point of Care Testing (POC) as ordered and collect specimens as needed.
- Assist with patient billing and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
- Participate in unit-specific quality improvement projects and maintain a high level of customer service.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a clinical program or six months of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Preferred qualifications include two years of medical office experience, phlebotomy certification, and bilingual skills.
