Job Description

At Sovos Compliance, we're seeking a highly skilled Technical Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Customer Success team, you'll work closely with clients to ensure a seamless experience across all stages of their journey with Sovos.

The Technical Account Manager will oversee implementations, testing, go-live processes, and ongoing support for new and existing SaaS and On-Premise customer projects. You'll serve as the primary technical point of contact for key enterprise accounts, assisting customers with installation, configuration, maintenance, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for key enterprise accounts.
  • Assist customers with installation, configuration, maintenance, and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies.
  • Coordinate code deployment processes involving Sovos cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Drive technical projects from inception through Go Live and beyond.
  • Ensure successful adoption and delivery of all applicable Sovos products and services.
  • Conduct annual account review meetings, on-site visits, and coordinate account health reviews.
  • Perform regular case reviews based on assigned account needs.
  • Proactively ensure accounts are prepared for jurisdictional or seasonal requirements.
  • Provide innovative solutions to enhance the software based on customer feedback, demos, training, and new business needs.
  • Deliver training to internal teams and customers on software use and best practices tailored to specific customer business needs.
  • Represent assigned accounts during emergencies and manage customer-specific crisis communications.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in customer implementations, technical support, or a similar role.
  • Software industry experience preferred; SaaS experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Sovos products, tax rules, SQL queries, and scripting.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proven ability to manage client projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a professional, client-focused approach.
  • Proficient in project management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to simplify technical concepts.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work outside core business hours as needed.
