Job Summary

St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester is seeking a Per-Diem Mental Health Aide to provide direct therapeutic services to residents of our program. Under the supervision of management staff, this role is responsible for crisis intervention, medication management, and training in activities of daily living. The successful candidate will also maintain the physical environment of the residence, adhering to hospital and residential policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct therapeutic services to residents, including crisis intervention and medication management
  • Train residents in activities of daily living
  • Maintain the physical environment of the residence, including cleaning and cooking duties
  • Adhere to hospital and residential policy and procedures
Requirements
  • Experience in mental health, substance abuse, and/or residential settings
  • Basic writing skills, verbal communication, and people skills
  • Ability to resolve conflicts
  • Physical requirements include walking up and down stairs, snow removal, and restocking supplies
  • High school diploma; associates or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and database navigation
