Working within our Technical Field Services (TFS) division allows professionals to engage in practical work while directly interacting with clients. We specialize in servicing complex instrumentation, including GC, GC/MS, LC, LC/MS, IC, and Dissolution systems. Although the equipment is intricate, TFS provides a comprehensive training program for new hires, alongside ongoing training to ensure our service staff maintain their expertise. Our TFS Specialists possess diverse skill sets, including strong technical knowledge, customer service proficiency, and effective problem-solving abilities. With over 20 years of service experience, we have consistently achieved growth and created numerous advancement opportunities across various states.
Your Role
As an Instrument Services Specialist, you will deliver technical solutions and advanced instrument support services to TFS customers, including external clients, laboratory chemists within the Pace lab network, and departmental colleagues. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of support services related to analytical instrumentation, including:
- Conducting preventive maintenance, installation, repair, and performance testing of instruments
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting application software
- Providing on-site and remote customer support
- Delivering technical training on analytical systems
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Maintaining positive relationships with clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related scientific field
- Preferred experience in equipment servicing
- Familiarity with chromatography systems (HPLC, UHPLC, LCMS, GC, GCMS, IC)
- Experience with LC/MS or LC/MS/MS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
