We are looking for dedicated and empathetic individuals to join our medical, surgical, and orthopedic team at ProHealth Care. Our unit specializes in orthopedic care, focusing on patients undergoing total hip, shoulder, and knee replacements, as well as managing orthopedic fractures. We also cater to a select group of medical patients.

Patient Demographics:
Our diverse patient population includes those dealing with:
- Sepsis
- Cardiac conditions
- Stroke
- Renal issues
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
- Various respiratory ailments
The surgical patients may require care following procedures such as appendectomies and small bowel obstructions, among others.

Our Medical Surgical Unit is committed to prioritizing patient needs and fostering a collaborative environment among staff to address those needs effectively.

We utilize telemetry monitoring, manage continuous medication infusions, and provide care for wounds and various tubes and drains. Our team consists of approximately 60 skilled professionals, including experienced and newer staff members, such as CNAs, RNs, and Unit Clerks, all supported by a dedicated management team.

Your Role:

We are currently seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support our staff and patients on the unit.

Qualified candidates will work autonomously, providing essential information and general nursing care to patients. Responsibilities include completing clerical tasks related to regulatory requirements, audits, and patient processes.

Qualifications:

- Active or expired WI Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) on registry
- Strong interest in customer service
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and demonstrating compassion, especially at the end of life.
