KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Efficiently drive, load, and unload agricultural machinery.
- Transport equipment, including oversized loads.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks on equipment.
- Keep the truck and trailer in pristine condition.
- Perform daily inspections of the truck to ensure operational readiness.
- Complete all required documentation promptly, including logs and mileage records.
- Comply with company standards and protocols.
- Follow all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
- Contribute to and uphold the corporate vision, mission, and values.
- Execute tasks in line with company policies and procedures.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in driving, loading, and unloading agricultural equipment, ensuring loads are secured per DOT regulations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to assess and prioritize health and safety concerns effectively.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Willingness to work extended hours, sometimes with little notice.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Familiarity with electronic logging systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Consistent attendance is essential.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
- Must possess a basic set of mechanic's tools (financial assistance may be available).
- Experience in the agricultural equipment sector is preferred.
- A valid CDL Class A driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- A minimum of one year of experience driving with a CDL Class A license is required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (speak, read, comprehend, and write).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods, along with walking, standing, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must meet all safety standards as per applicable safety regulations.
Compensation: The pay scale is $31.87 per hour, including benefits such as a Health Savings Account (HSA), dental and vision insurance, 401K, paid time off (PTO), holiday pay, and life insurance.
